Prioritizing In Your Garden

It’s fun to dream about what you plan on doing and creating in your garden next spring.

But making well thought out decisions will define whether or not your design is a success.

How to do it? Compile a ‘wish list’ of everything that you’d like in your garden. Let your ideas and imagination percolate for a couple of weeks.

Once you’ve completed the list, start prioritizing. What is it that you actually need or want the most? Is it a vegetable garden, an entertainment area or a small pond? Take into consideration the cost of each project as well.

If you started with a wish list of 12 and end up doing only one or two this season, that’s fine. Deciding on and doing projects or design work in an organized fashion will serve you well as your garden continues to develop.
